LaLa-Nora's GATHERING IN THE FOREST
There was an old owl who sat on a limb
Of a tree in a very old wood.
Never opening his eyes, never making a sound,
Other animals weren’t sure that he could.
They would all gather round to watch him and wait
For a sign that the creature yet lived.
But all was in vain, for he sat like a stone,
And no clue the old creature would give.
“Perhaps we should poke him,” a squirrel did suggest,
“Not hard, just a very light touch.”
“I think we should leave him alone,” said the fox,
“He’s not bothering us very much.”
